Feedback in action: Updates to Outlook for Mac
Hello Office Insiders! My name is Priya Ganta, and I’m a Program Manager on the Outlook team. I’m excited to share a closer look at three new features that are available in Outlook for Mac based on your feedback. Be sure to check out this post for a complete list of newly released features.
All your mail in one place
No need to switch between individual inboxes to check mail in the new Outlook. Get to all your messages by combining the multiple mailboxes you manage into one unified inbox, making it easier for you to view everything that is important in one place.
Search all mailboxes
You can now find what you’re looking for more easily by searching all mail within your unified inbox and across all accounts in Outlook at once, eliminating the need to switch between specific folders and mailboxes to find that one important email.
How it works
When searching, select All Mailboxes, which you can find to the left of the search bar. This will open search to all connected mail accounts, and all folders within them.
MailTips give you heads up about the messages you’re about to send and useful information about the recipients. For example, MailTips lets you know if a message is being sent to a large number of recipients, recipients have automatic replies turned on, or that you may be sending an email to recipients outside your organization.
How it works
When composing an email, you’ll notice yellow banners at the top of the message with important information that helps you adjust its content and recipient list, if needed, to avoid undesirable situations.
These features are now available to users running Insider Fast builds for Outlook for Mac version 16.38 (20042808) and later.
